Look at Them Boots

Every time I wear these boots Ryan sings that song "She's gone Country." I don't know if that's the correct title... And I hadn't even heard of that song before he started singing it. Regardless, the song has been in my head all day. Nice. I'm actually not a big fan of country music, unless you count Johnny Cash and Taylor Swift.

So school has proven to be expensive (as always). I've had to buy Photoshop and photo paper and text books and copper plates (for printmaking). A 7"x10" sheet of copper is $18. Ugh. Thank goodness for Financial Aid money and my scholarship and really nice family members who love to help us out. And I'll soon be thanking our tax return check. Gotta get on that.

You don't have to be a cowgirl to wear cowboy boots, do you?

Lucky Skirt?

I went to Savers the other day and whilst looking through the skirts I found this baby. I liked the buttons and the pocket... but wait! There was something in this pocket! I reach inside to find $13. I count the money twice and I'm sure the look on my face was ridiculous. "I'm rich!" I declare in my head. But then I think, "this isn't my money..." I give it to a manager who thanks me and says that they search the clothes for money. I was hoping that she'd let me have it... but no. Well, I felt pretty good about returning the money, but when I tell Ryan the story once I get home he says "What? I would have kept it." Seriously? I thought he would've been proud of me. He explained that he really didn't think that the money neccesarily belonged to Savers. I dunno, what would you have done?

Anyway, I hope this skirt brings luck in... the form of money. You know, maybe I'll leave money in there and forget about and rediscover it. I love when that happens.

Thursday is Animal Day

I'm animal themed today. I love the animals.
I also love oversized shirts and cardigans.

So this whole "band shirt week" has been working out fairly well. Monday's outfit wasn't post worthy, neither was Wednesday, mostly because I couldn't find my yellow tights and the entire ensemble failed. Of course I knew exactly where to look for them as soon as the day was over. Isn't that always how it goes?

What's up with this weather?

So it was raining this morning, now it's bright a sunny. Agh, how do I dress? January has been bipolar. Shouldn't complain though, there are people freezing their butts off in other parts right now, I'm sure.

Influenced

What I wore yesterday to church~

skirt: thrifted
blouse: borrowed (...still gotta give that back!)
tights and flats: Target
Not gonna lie. I totally stole the concept of this outfit from Elizabeth of Delightfully Tacky
Observe:
I noticed that by some crazy coincidence that we had thrifted the same skirt. I'm pretty sure it's the same skirt, 'cept that she must've hemmed hers. Now if I would've looked at this photo right before putting this outfit together I would have added a necklace and worn different shoes. But, ya know, I haven't got internet in the apartment. Maybe I'll wear this outfit again with that in mind.

So I woke up from a dream this morning where I was folding all of my t-shirts. I noticed that I had a lot of band t-shirts and I thought to myself, "I should wear these more often." So, I've decided to follow my dreams this week and wear those tees. It'll be a challenge, and maybe it's a little lame, but whatever.

First Day of School

I couldn't find my keys this morning. It was ten minutes before my first class and my keys were nowhere to be found. Ryan was already at school, so I tried calling him, calling him again, texting him, calling him, and texting him again. He had left his phone in the car. Luckily, he came home before my first class ended and I was able to get a syllabus and whatnot. I've got a couple of buddies in this class, Printmaking 2, that is, and I'm pretty stoked. Yes, stoked.

The day isn't over yet. Digital Capture and Output (another photography class) awaits me in about an hour. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be long days... I hope I don't get sick. Ryan has the sniffles and a sore throat. I've been taking a lot of Airborne to try and avoid sickness. Last year, at this time exactly, Ryan had gotten me sick. And like a dummy, I still went to work with a huge frog in my throat. I think I scared the customers. I know my voice scared myself. This is not happening again!

Wish me luck this semester.

Last day of winter break

So there's school tomorrow (or shall I say today, since it's past midnight now?). I didn't do anything too exciting today... Except change my name at school! Yes, I've been married for a year now and barely went to the Social Security office yesterday. Procrastination at its finest. I thought it would be a more annoying process, and every time I thought about it I'd just get stressed out, haha. The more annoying thing was going to the DMV to change my driver's license, and listening to this guy complain about coming earlier and getting a number, and then leaving and missing his number being called. So he had to get back in line to get another number. He stod behind me in line and he was cussing up a storm. I overheard the conversation he had with one of the workers and she said that his number was given that morning. It was 2:00 when he came back. WHY would he leave for that long? Anyway, sorry about that rant...

I really like my new signature. It's shorter to write and I just think it looks cuter, haha.

Last Sunday

I find myself doing this move a lot lately^ You know, Kristen Stewart's signature hair move:
She must've done this move at least 100 times during the first Twilight movie. I'm tired of this and I miss my bangs. It's time for a hair cut. I've been thinking of chopping it all off, so that the tips will just brush my shoulders, but I'm sure I'd really miss this length. Ryan is all for the idea. Cutting or not cutting my hair shouldn't be this hard to decide. Regardless, I do need a trim.
We'll just have to see what I'll end up deciding to do about this hair business...

Casual Friday

Haven't got much planned for today. Just work. All. Night. Seriously, it's an eight hour shift. So not much to look forward to but tip money. Let's hope it'll be a lot. I could use the dough.

 Flanel: Old Navy
Sweater: thrifted
Jeans: American Eagle
Shoes: Payless

Tomorrow is a pretty big day. My sister in law will be getting married to her boyfriend of two years tomorrow. And I'm their photographer! Next week is pretty big too: the beginning of a new semester. I'm a little nervous for my darkroom class. I'm very excited about my printmaking class. This break has been a long one.
Hope your Friday is better than mine!
