Camping

That's right, we went camping. This was our first little camping trip together. It was nice to have some secluded alone time with Ryan after five days without him.

The highlight of our trip was this hike we went on. It was a little over four miles, but it seemed longer at times.

It seemed like it took forever to finally reach this halfway point.

Dinner. It tasted like Chef Boyardee. There were all sorts of other goodies in there too! A pudding mix, "snack bread" with peanut butter, a pop-tart, fruit punch drink mix, and stuff to make coffee. All prepared without fire or a stove. Chemistry, man.

It wasn't my idea to sleep in the back of the truck (we lack a tent), and it was as comfortable as it seemed (it was a little bit terrible). But it was pretty cool sleeping under so many stars.

Breakfast: soyrizo, eggs, and green chile for burritos.

Although we weren't completely prepared, I'm glad we went camping together. At least we know better for the next time. And if possible, I'd like to go once more before summer ends.

Welcome Welcome

I wore this yesterday to have lunch with Holly. We ate at a Mexican restaurant that I had never been to. Oh was it delicious. Maybe it'll become a new favorite of mine... We also went shopping (what's new??). Too many good things are to be found at Marshall's right now. That place is seriously dangerous.

And hey hey hey! This guys is home now.

What a dream boat.

Primary Colors are 1, 2, 3

I have finally put together an outfit with primary colors. I have seen so many bloggers do it before and I've always like how it looked, so here's mine.

Alright, so this skirt is just a little too short for me to be comfortable (I think it must have shrunk in the dryer?), thus the slip underneath. I've never rocked this look before. Yay or nay? Why am I asking you? I wear what I want!

When I first saw this belt, it reminded me of my grandpa. Does something about this belt scream "cute old mexican man" to you?

Welp. That was a whole lot of random.
Have a tubular Tuesday!

Sunday Best

I'm not sure what else to say in this post other than "this is what I wore to church."

blouse: Charlotte Russe, skirt: thrifted/vintage, shoes: Payless, belt: Downeast, necklace: Forever 21

Oh hey, check out this photo of me looking at a bird. It was flying dangerously close.

So this week looks pretty open for me. So maybe that's a bad thing? Only because I think it's time to find a new job? I'm so indecisive about these things. I kind of hate change, but sometimes I really like it. I'm so comfortable at my job... but there are so many things that are wrong with it. I wonder how I've stayed there for so long. Eh, this post has kind of turned into a downer.

Well, maybe I'll convince Ryan to go camping with these few days that I'll have off this week. I have been wanting to camp for a very long time now!

Saturday

This picture makes me laugh. And these sandals are my favorite.

Anyway. Ryan has been out of town since Thursday. His grandfather had passed away about a month ago :( but they're having his memorial today. So Ryan and his family drove to Kansas to attend and to visit with grandma. I never met his grandpa, but I know that he was a pretty nice guy. He would send us money, just because. How NICE, right?

So while Ryan has been gone, I've been watching tons of my favorite Korean show (it's mostly just been on in the background while I surf the net), drawing, and playing Word Hero on my new phone. IT'S SO ADDICTING.

Yesterday was pretty nice. I wasn't as lonely because my sister came down for an unexpected visit! And this is what I wore while we hung out at the mall with my mom, haha.
