Hey there, readers. That's me up there with my planner, planning out this week. I work a TON this week. I went from 9 hours last week to 33 this week. That's a bit of a leap, yes? The man responsible for this leap is my very own husband. Dunno if you all knew this, but we work at the same place. Or shall I say worked? Yesterday was Ryan's last day, because once school approaches we're looking into student loans. Which I'm terrified of. But this is the best option. Gotta get all that schooling out of the way. He's an Electrical Engineering major, and those classes sound pretty tough to me.
So, for these next two weeks before classes begin I'm gonna be Ryan's sugar mama. It's kind of thrilling for some reason. I'ma be hecka tired, but I'm going to try and fit in fun stuff this week. Maybe an outfit post (or two?), and hopefully a photo shoot. Keep your fingers crossed.
I've got a double date planned for tomorrow. The thought of that might keep me sane through my shift tomorrow :)

Soledad Canyon
Ryan and I went on a hike in Soledad Canyon yesterday. Can you believe it was my idea? I've got to do more outdoorsy stuff while it's still summer. There are only two weeks of vacation left. D:
My husband is quite the adventurer.

Umbrellas
So yesterday's photo shoot evidently did not involve rainbow cupcakes. But that's ok, because this was a really fun time! I should be in more of my photos. Camera sharing and tripods are fun.
There's this really great, open spot for photos right next to Laila and Amanda's apartment. Just go up a hill and voila, desert, Plus, they had a little, rusty playground at the complex. Awesome.
These were taken by Laila and edited by me:
This is my new favorite umbrella.

I love this last shot.
Sorry for the picture overload.
It rained a ton just as we were wrapping up. We were watching the storm move to different parts of town the whole time we were up there, and pleaded with mother nature that she'd take just long enough to come our way. Thanks, lady!

"What I Wore Today"
Day 2 of Photo Challenge: What I wore today
(That's easy, I do this all the time!)
shirt: Forever 21
skirt: thrifted
belt: thrifted
shoes: Payless
feather necklace: Icing's
I didn't actually wear these shoes today, but I think they look a whole lot better with this outfit than the flats I wore.
xo.

Farewell, Friend.
This is my friend Shana. She's moving away tomorrow! She was one of my roommates before I got married. We used to stay awake 'til the wee hours of the morning talking about deep stuff, like the gospel... and ex-boyfriends.... Might I add that she's probably the most spiritual person I know? If I have a church related question, she always has an answer. She truly has been an example to me.
We went to Applebee's for lunch. 2 for $20!
Shana went to England on her mission. Jealous.
It's nice to have a friend that has gone through similar situations as you. It's easier to talk to them about these things without having them "judge" you or take things the wrong way. I also feel comfort in the fact that I'm not the only one that has had to deal with these feelings. I hope she feels the same way about our frienship.
Good bye Shana, and good luck!
Let's try to meet up whenever I'm in Albuquerque!
Tent Photo Shoot
To prepare you all for the modelly pictures I'm about to post, here's a photo of yours truly, trying to make the most modelesque face I can think of.
Ha!
I forgot to post this yesterday, actually.
So here are some of my absolute favorites from yesterday.
Hope that wasn't too many for you to swallow!
I'm really glad with the outcome of these.
Anywho, I'm about to get ready for a lunch date with my friend Shana. She's moving to Albuquerque tomorrow! It's a bit of an abrupt move, but I think it will be great for her! Three cheers, for a new adventure.
xo.
