A Day Off
Whoooooo, day off! I spent this day with my sister, doing girl stuff, like getting our nails done. It has been years since I last got a pedicure. The polish on my toenails were chipped like no other, and I've just been too lazy to paint them myself. So there you go. It was nice to be pampered in that way. But it was a little awkward when the lady who was doing my nails told me I was pretty and then started to sing "Who let the dogs out" and proceeded to bark the "who, who, who, who." I... just... I don't know about that. There was kind of a language barrier between us. Maybe that has something to do with it.
I got a handful of compliments on this dress today which made me super happy.

Awful/Awesome
This past week:
Awful:
-Not being able to sleep when Ryan was out of town. I'm such a baby.
-Ryan's car is dead. This probably means that we'll reserve the money we have saved up for a trip for a new car instead.
-Cockroaches
-Washing my undies in the sink because I forgot to do laundry
Awesome:
-Tip money!
-We had a "service auction" for church (an auction used with points rather than money) and the thing I offered, a free family photo shoot, got some pretty high bids! I wasn't there, because I totally forgot about it, but it's nice to hear that a lot of people want a photo shoot from me. Perhaps this will be a great business opportunity to get more clients.
-Speaking of family photo shoots, I've got photos of a cute little family to edit :)
-Going to a wedding reception where hats and gloves were encouraged

Happy Weekend to You
Tonight is a night that I spend all alone. Ryan is on a camping trip for church with some tween kids. I went thrifting earlier (and what a magical trip it was), but now I sit, blogging, eating Taco Bell, and watching iCarly. Don't judge.

Has anyone else noticed that in iCarly, Freddie wears these honkin' tall shoes to make him seem a little taller? They're like the ugliest shoes too. That's probably how I noticed, because they are not appealing. Has anyone else noticed that? No? Just... me...?
I'm not sure if I'll ever grow up.

An ICEE Kind of Day
What a scorcher. It is literally 100 degrees outside, and it will continue to be 100 all week.
I didn't do too much today.
1. Signed up for a gym membership. Crazy, huh??
2. Went with Ryan to get his car looked at, and it looks like we might need to look for another car
3. Picked up laundry from parents' house
4. Cooled off with some frozen corn syrup

Awful Things, Awesome Things
I got my haircut yesterday. I went from hating it, to loving it, to hating it again. But today I like it. My hair just naturally flips out when it's this length. I think that's a good thing? Flippy hair? Anyway, I really like my bangs now. I really had to instruct the hairstylist on how I wanted them cut.
Trivial girl stuff.
This past week...
Awful:
- Both cars crapped out on us. But you already know all about that from this post.
- The heat. Duh.
- Electricity bill...
- Being short $9.00 when reporting my tips at work.
- I left my tripod in my friend's car (Ryan was kind enough to take these photos).
Awesome:
- Hanging out with a friend and printmaking!
- Going home early from work yesterday
- Root beer floats at church today
- Dancing in the kitchen and making dinner with Ryan
- Accepting a photo job for August
