Hey Mickey, You're So Fine

Lemme just say that Mandi had provided all these awesome props. Girl did her homework. It has inspired me to get my own bag of props for photo shoots. Would that be weird? 

Why a Disney themed photo shoot? Because they're getting married in Disneyland! Neat, eh? 

Oh, hey America, didn't see ya there.

So far my summer has been nothing but work. But that's not bad. That means I won't be scrounging for money, ya know? Yup... *sigh* It has actually been a few days since I wore this outfit, so now I don't know what to say about it. I'm a little late on the colored pants trend (mostly because I've been a bit skeptical) but I really like this color, so I went ahead.

First item of business: Have you all seen Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs? Is it not super hilarious? I watched it recently with Ryan because he had never seen it. I must own that movie.

Second item of business: We will have the internet at our apartment on Monday. I will finally be able to blog in the comfort of my own home and look up actors on imdb when I'm watching a movie that has  an actor that I know I've seen in another movie.

Third item of business: I've learned a couple of new recipes.

Fourth: I'm itching for my own record player so I can listen to this pup

Fifth: The Disney themed engagement shoot went well. I'll post some of my favorites tomorrow.

Sixth: I'm also itching to cut this hair a bit shorter.

Hey, It's Summer

I was too excited to find this modest dress at Salvation Army the other day for $3.50. It's a perfect summer dress, in my opinion

I know it isn't the end of the week yet, but I'm going to do an awful/awesome post today.

Awful:

- Crying a lot in the school bathroom over something completely ridiculous.

-Walking to my car (after crying in the bathroom) in the freezing cold rain with no umbrella

- Getting into my car, crying hysterically, and then noticing that the car parked a space away from mine had a person in it who was staring at me.

- Realizing that one of my favorite teachers might not be teaching next semester. 

- Trying to get someone to cover my shift on Monday. Everyone denied me and I had to stay up very late to finish a final project and study for a test that I only ended up getting a C on 

Awesome: 

- Ryan being so nice to me after I explained why I had been crying, and then agreeing to get Baskin Robins and rent The Muppets

- Summer is here :)

- Getting some pretty awesome deals at thrift stores

- Shopping for Mothers' Day

- Surprising Ryan with new socks

- Getting some music from Emilio. Now I've got 160 new songs to listen to this summer

- Ryan getting a summer job!

- Receiving an email from the school stating that my scholarship will NOT be expiring for the next two semesters. YES. 

- Planning a temple trip with my mom

- Running into an ex boyfriend and having it not be as awkward as I've always imagined it would be

- Beautiful weather today after three days of rain 

- We should be getting internet at the apartment within the next week!

- And this evening I will be taking a Disney themed engagement shoot 

Thankfully, the awesome outweighs the awful this week. Good thing too, because that whole crying ordeal was super embarrassing.

Sunny Monday

For the final project in my digital photography class my teacher is letting us take pictures of whatever we want. No guidelines other than being passionate about the subject matter. 

So I chose to take photos of myself, because I'm super passionate about me.

*JUST KIDDING*

I had a photo-shoot with Holly yesterday and I snuck in a few photos while she was off doing a wardrobe change. I'm not sure how I'm going to word my artist's statement for this shoot... something about being fascinated with how looking at a photograph can  make you feel like you're in the "world" that it portrays. Like you want to be in the photo too. Eh, that's how it make me feel.

Some crazy stuff happened yesterday. I called my boss to ask what time I work this week:

Eddie: What happened to you on Friday? 

Me: I...uh...what?

Eddie: You were scheduled to work that day. I tried calling you. 

Me: ...I...I checked the schedule and I thought it said I had that day off... I checked it twice :( I'm sooo sorry.... 

Eddie: Oh. Well, I didn't put you on the schedule this week because I thought you didn't want to work here anymore. 

Me: Aaaaaaggggghhhh. I'm soooo SORRY. I checked the schedule twice,  I thought...asdfsdhgkldghsakdfaeorughdfjk.... 

Eddie: Ok, well you can come in on Wednesday

Me: I'M SORRY D: 

My boss was pretty nice about all of this, thankfully.  He probably heard the pathetic-ness in my voice and pitied the fool. (The fool being me.) I feel pretty dumb for misreading the schedule though.
