Bumpdate: week 30

How far along are you? 30 weeks
Total Weight Gain: 22 pounds
Maternity Clothes? Yup, mostly.
Stretch Marks? They seem to be everywhere but my belly.
Sleep: Not bad. I was pretty hot last night, though.
Best moments: Buying a couple of new bras! That are the correct size! (Hah.) Dude, they're nice. And they're nursing bras. I also got a cute maternity bathing suit, so we've gone swimming a few times.
Missing anything? My waistline. I see all these cute outfits on TV/online that wouldn't work for a pregnant gal.
Movement? Yes.
Food Cravings: Taco Bell, Chipotle.
Symptoms: My feet grew a little :) I wear size 5, so going up a shoe size is definitely not an awful thing for me.
Belly Button in or Out? Out.
Happy or Moody? I have been randomly depressed a couple of nights as reality has struck: I've gotta push this baby out in two months! But over all, I've been happy.
Looking Forward to: My first appointment with the birth center. That's right, I'M GOING FOR IT. Any advice from moms who have chosen drug free birth/natural birth/home birth/water birth is completely welcome. Encouragement is appreciated, too!! We went for a consultation and tour this past week. Truthfully it made me a little nervous, but still excited.
A lot of people keep asking us if we've picked out a name. The answer is no. We have made a list of possible names, but I don't want to choose a name until I see her face and interact with her. It's funny because I didn't always think this way. Before I was pregnant I had a few girl names in mind that I thought I would definitely use, and the moment we found out we're having a girl, those names lost their appeal! My mind might change again, which is ok. It's just a little annoying because I want to call her something other than "Baby" now. In the meantime, I guess I can practice saying different names to see what sounds the best.

  2. I did mine in the hospital with only iv drugs that wore off a few hours before the delivery. The biggest thing that helped me was watching the contractions on the monitor so I could always know how much longer and keep the "light at the end of the tunnel" in sight. The adrenaline took care of the worst of it in my memory. I think another important thing is that if things don't go according to plan and you end up changing your mind, it doesn't make you less of a woman/mom. All that matters is that you and baby get through it safely and everyone is healthy. Good luck!

  3. Perfect color of green! Also, I'm excited to hear your birth story if you decide to share it. I've never about someone's experience with something like that, so it will be super fun to hear yours! Hope everything it going good for you.

  5. You are too cute! You look great. I just commented on Pic-O-Andrea's blog and saw that she lives in Arizona and you live in Chandler. I live in Chandler too! Whereabouts in Chandler?
