Christmas Eve

Behold, my Christmas Eve outfit. I accidentally left my tripod in Holly's trunk after our trip to Albuquerque, so I had to place my camera on this little bench we have... and that's why the angles are a little weird, haha.

 coat: Marshall's
sweater: gift
 jeans: American Eagle
boots: Target
 hat: gift
 bow: farmers' market

It's been a pretty good Holiday season for me. We just decorated tons of sugar cookies at Ryan's parents' and there are some that are pretty impressive! These people go all out on decorating Christmas cookies, I tell ya. I'm sure I'll post some pictures of those little, edible masterpieces here when I get the chance.
I'm so excited for tomorrow! Church will surely be uplifting, and I'm singing in the choir too, no lie. I'm also looking forward to seeing my family in El Paso. It seems like ages.

Happy Christmastime!
Santa's comin', tonight tonight!

Snowfriend

It snowed again! And everyone in New Mexico crapped their pants. It all melted away pretty quickly. The snow, that is, not the crap.

Ryan made a little snowfriend from the snow on top of his car. We placed him next to the door to look after the place while we were gone.

Temple Trip

Yesterday was so fun! I went on a mini road-trip to the Albuquerque temple with Holly (left) and Laura (middle). I didn't realize just how much I needed to be there. I think it has been the best temple trip so far :) I felt the spirit so strongly and there are things I understand better now than I did before.
Laura had gotten endowed recently and it was her idea that just us girls go to a session. I'm pretty excited to go back next month (if I can!) for the ward trip.

Our humble little temple ~

Chillax

I love me some Sunday.
First church, then nap, then choir practice, then game night at our favorite couple's home :) Every time we have a game night Ryan wins EVERY GAME. I guess I should be proud to be the wife of such a winner, haha.
We waited until after midnight to go on a Taco Bell run (as to not break the sabbath, haha). Now, with my belly full of fake Mexican food, I'm enjoying the Glee holiday episode (for the second time...) with Holly. Super feel-good!

skirt: Down East Basics, blouse: Ross, cardigan & hat: gifts, tights & flats: Target, belt: from a thrifted skirt

Hope you all are having a fun filled break!

Some More Christmas Shopping

Yup. Lots of shopping today for other people.
And this is what I wore.
skirt: thrifted
sweater: gift
cardigan: gift
tights & shoes: Target
necklace: my friend made it!

I shopped with Holly today :) Our schedules have been so different so it was nice to spend time with her. And next week we're going to the temple!

Hurray for winter break.

A Painted Tree

Since our apartment is too small (and because we're poor...) we couldn't get a Christmas tree. So. a painted tree was made! There was no green paint marker in the set, so we settled for a white tree. You know, because of the snow? :)

I drew a nativity scene too.

I did some Christmas shopping and realized that gift bags are the only way to wrap a present.

So much more shopping to do!
Merry Christmastime!

Inspired

A lot of fashion bloggers inspire me. Kristine, from Kristine or Polly, is one fashionista that I adore. I am so impressed with the way she mixes patterns. I absolutely love this outfit she put together so I tried my own version, adding some pattern mixes of my own.
Her dress (shown as a top here) has little kitties on it :)

And oh my! I forgot to mention!
My parents-in-law gave me the Jo Totes camera bag that was on my Birthday list :D How exciting. right? I feel so grateful.

Now it won't be so awkward to take my camera with me everywhere!
 skirt & slip: thrifted
shirt: Rue 21
cardigan: Target
shoes: Payless
hat: gift from Grandma <3
leggings: ...?
I was supposed to help my friend Laura go shopping yesterday but she got called into work. See, she's going on a mission for our church in February! I felt so flattered that she asked me to help her pick out the clothes she'll be wearing as a sister missionary. And have you seen the new dress code for sister missionaries? The examples of outfits look like something I would wear. Check out these cute skirts. We might go shopping today if she doesn't get called in to work again.

Any of you have a blogger that inspires you?
