Emilio and I took some photos last night for our lighting class, so I snuck in some senior portraits. It was so fun! I'm not sure which one I'd like to use for my graduation announcement. Graduation plans are going a bit more smoothly. Every day of this week I've felt nervous and anxious, due to all of the crap I have to do. Stress!! But I had a meeting with my teacher yesterday which has calmed me down a bit. And let's just say that Thanksgiving break won't be much of a break for me. I may be at school just as often, but I'm kind of excited for it?? That's a sign I've chosen the right major.

Style Rut
Lately, as if out of nowhere, I have felt my sense of style shift. Maybe I've just realized it this week? Regardless, I've found myself less interested in pastels, pinks, florals, and lace, and more interested in bold patterns and dark/bold colors. Maybe it's because fall is approaching? Maybe I'm going through a phase. I've just felt less inspired with my wardrobe.
Here are some examples of the kinds of outfits I've been drawn to recently:

Lumberjacks
The day after Thanksgiving we went to the mountains, to the sight of my in-laws' future home. It was a pretty chill visit. We planned on hiking, but after exploring and eating and choppin' up some wood, we all agreed that it was just too cold to stay. Ha, we are definitely New Mexicans. My toes were so cold, they hurt.
So yes, the break is over! I'm sure that most students can agree that Thanksgiving break is not relaxing. The entire week I was either doing homework or silently freaking out about not doing my homework. I would think, "Hey! I just need to relax, man. I'm on break!" But then immediately after I'd think, "Oh my gosh, I have soooooo much to do before Monday..." It's a constant battle, and it always ends up in procrastination. Why, at this moment I'm procrastinating. I thought I'd take a small blogging break from writing my paper, but it has been a little over an hour now....
I'm glad there are only three more weeks of this, and then the mother of all vacations will commence: WINTER BREAK. When I can actually relax.
I hope everyone had a fun Thanksgiving.
And I wish you students out there good luck on final exams and projects.

Cool, Not Cool, Undecided
Cool:
-My sister in law was sealed to her husband last Saturday!
-Experiencing all of Ryan's siblings together again
-Huge family photo shoot
-Baking Amish friendship bread
-Getting an extension to finish my photography project
-Holly invited me to go to The Shins concert in a couple of weeks! And hopefully the Balloon Fiesta. (Crossing my fingers)
Not Cool:
-Procrastinating my paper for art history and only getting 4 hours of sleep
-Injuring my toe and non-stop crying.
-Working on a Friday night for eight hours.
Undecided:
-Eating nothing but Amish friendship bread
-Trying to figure out who to give the Amish bread starters to. It's a process, people. If I don't give all four away I'll be stuck with more bread to make and more starter bags.
-Taking the truck to get fixed. We're using one of the in-law's cars in the meantime.
-Preparing to sing a duet in Sunday school (or rather forgetting about it...)

This is the outfit I wore to the temple for my sis-in-law's sealing. I haven't had the time to edit all the photos from last weekend. I got about half of them done this morning, so I might post them Sunday/Monday. This week was crazy busy and it went by so fast!
Hope you all have a fun weekend :)

Spring Fever
I finally have spring fever... after Spring Break is through.
I got slapped in the face with a few surprises this Tuesday:
1. Today was "a print in a day" day in my printmaking class. Do you know how long it can take to make a print, using any type of method? And we had to produce and print in one class period. I didn't finish my print in class so I came tonight to print 'em out. I must say though, I do like the outcome:
A couple of eel people.
We're having a critique for these, along with an "in progress" critique for another project on Thursday. Another project that I have not yet started. Not that it matters to you. Sigh.
2. There's an exam in my Art History class on Thursday as well. Haven't even studied for that.
3. I realized that the film my father-in-law gave me is probably color film, and not black and white film. My school is ghetto and we don't have the facilities to develop colored film. I wish we did. So I suppose I've gotta go buy some film tonight and take photos tomorrow morning before my class at 11:30. Not too shabby?
Sorry about all the negativity. Here's a picture of me smiling to make up for it:
skirt and blouse are thrifted
Looks like I need to cut these bang again.
Well, I've wasted enough time blogging!
Get it done, GIIIIRRRRRRRRRLLL.
