Art Student

Skirt: thrifted, hat: Rue 21, black long-sleeve shirt: who knows, shirt: Marshalls, shoes: gift, socks: who cares!
So I felt like an art student wearing this outfit today.
Oh wait, I am an art student.
Well, I felt that I looked the part :B
Yes, this picture looks like I'm doing the pregnancy pose.
No, I'm not actually pregnant.
So about this cat. Notice anything missing?
She's got no tail! Wanna guess her name?

Mom-Cat.

Original, no?

I don't think she likes to be held...

In more important news:
We got the apartment! Yes, the dinky one.
I'm just excited to be able to live with Ryan and only Ryan. I'm not too excited to have no internet though. And it will be a challenge to be living in such a smallie. But also fun? I dunno.
Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with blogging again. The school's internet will be our main source once we leave the in-laws'.

Tolerance is Key

Um, I dunno.
I felt like taking pictures with a dog?

Anyway, that's not what this post is about. It's about "being in the world but not of the world." I just discovered Erin's blog and excitedly read through a handful of her posts. Just now. Haha. I was well pleased with this particular entry.

It's a little difficult for me to always be so accommodating toward views in this world that I don't necessarily agree with. I'm just being honest. But what I do know is that it is not my place to judge anyone. I really hate discrimination. It brings all sorts of bad feelings and vibes, yo. Contention, that's what it brings. And that's not what I'm about.

Erin shared a video in her post that touched my heart:

Everyone on this planet should be shown love.
We all have different opinions on what's wrong and what's right. There's no possible way that everyone will agree on the same issue, so what's the point in arguing about it?

I feel quite uplifted :)

Renaissance Fair

Dress: thrifted, cardigan: Forever 21, leggings: friend gave 'em to me, boots: Target, hat: gift from Grandma :), bag: on sale at Pac Sun

I didn't realize the Renaissance Fair was in town until this morning when Ryan and I were talking about what we wanted to do today.  His brother mentioned it and I'm glad he did.
This magician was really corny, but entertaining nonetheless.

The guy who makes these butterfly displays lives in Peru.  He said he and his wife are only in the US 5 months out of the year for the fair.  He finds all of the butterflies on his property just before they're about to die.  I was glad to hear that he waited until they've lived their full life, even if it is only 10 days long.  Ryan had fun talking with him and his wife, who is native to Peru, because he served his mission in Lima.

It's pretty windy and chilly out today, but we had a fun time.
And I bought a few momentos.

A magnet and a butterfly.
Also bought some homemade soap not pictured here. It's minty :)

Anyone else been to a Renaissance Fair?
