Day 12

A song from a band I hate: Perfect- Simple Plan
Ya know, hate is such a strong word. I remember hating this band back in high school because of the guy's nasally voice, but now that I'm listening to it again, it does't sound so nasally. Heh. In fact, while I was searching for this song, another of their's popped up that I kinda like:
Maybe cause it's got Natasha Bedingfield in there. I'm not as picky as I used to be, I suppose. I can't really think of a band I hate...

Aside from all this, Ima have an awesome dress-up photo shoot this evening with a girl I love to take pictures of. Seriously, she's a natural.

Can't wait! But first, laundry and work.
Toodles.

Day 11

A song from my favorite band: Walking the Dog- fun.

I'm not sure if fun is my all time favorite band, but they're pretty up there with The Format and Eisley. I was devastated once I found out that The Format had broken up. Then, a couple of summers back, Holly informed me that Nate was starting a new band. Oh the joy and excitement. I like to watch this video, it's a bit trippy.

Day 10

A song that I can fall asleep to: Last Song For B- Devendra Banhart
I'll be honest, I never fall asleep to music. It just doesn't work out for me. For the most part when I'm listening to music, I'm paying attention to it. I listen to music to stay awake. Songs like this can keep me awake on road trips. I love this song, by the way. When I first heard it I couldn't get enough. I can picture it being in a movie for sure.

Day 9

A song that I can dance to: Suffer for Fashion- Of Montreal
Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer might be the best album by Of Montreal. I've tried listening to their previous albums, but none of them quite measure up to this baby.

From my thrifting a the other day:

I love the details. I think they'll go nicely in our living room. I still need to decorate an entire wall in here. I really should have more photographs hanging in this apartment as well.
I also bought a skirt alongside these frames. It will inspire me to do an outfit post, I'm sure.

Day 8

A song that I know all the words to: Kind- Eisley
It was only a matter of time until an Eisley song made it on the list. I started listening to Eisley my freshman year of high school, and would listen to Room Noises on repeat, and right before I went to sleep. Their voices made me want to sing as well. Oh the harmonies.

Update from yesterday's post: we only went to Savers yesterday in search of a bookshelf with no luck. We got distracted by other things while there though, I'm glad to say. I got a few things, but I don't want to take a photo right now because I just got off of work and I'm lazy.

I'm hungry.
Think I'll make fried rice.

Day 7

A song that reminds me of an event: It's For the Best- Straylight Run
This song reminds me of our big move from California to New Mexico. I was sixteen and had never lived anywhere else. I was leaving my mother's side of the family, friends, and my first boyfriend. It was tragic as we drove out of town. My sisters and I were bawling. Maybe after an hour of being on the highway we had all settled down a bit and my older sister put in a mixed CD she made. This song was amongst the others in the mix and I just remember listening to it very loudly, and loving it.

Today Ryan and I need to run a few errands. 1) Grocery shopping. We literally have no food. 2) Bank. Gotta cash a few check$. 3) Search for a bookshelf. Thrift-a-loo! I hope the bookshelf will inspire me to organize our spare room. It's awful. I need to make it a big summer project, in fact. I'm hoping to get a desk and bedframe from my parent's storage unit to put in there. I'm also hoping to have the strength to THROW THINGS AWAY. I think I get my pack-rattiness from my dad.

Hope you have an eventful day as well.
